Montana President Results: Trump Wins
Donald Trump has won the Montana contest, NBC News projects, and secured the state’s four Electoral College votes. In 2020, Trump won Montana with 57% of the vote to Biden’s 41%. In 2016, Trump won Montana with 57% to Hillary Clinton’s 36%. A historically red state when it comes to the presidency, Montana has voted for only two Democratic candidates in the last 72 years, Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964 and Bill Clinton in 1992.

The expected vote is the total number of votes that are expected in a given race once all votes are counted. This number is an estimate and is based on several different factors, including information on the number of votes cast early as well as information provided to our vote reporters on Election Day from county election officials. The figure can change as NBC News gathers new information.
