Donald Trump has won the Kansas contest, NBC News projects, and secured the state’s six Electoral College votes. In 2020, Trump won Kansas with 56% of the vote to Biden’s 42%. In 2016, Trump won Kansas with 57% to Hillary Clinton’s 36%. The state is historically red, and it has been 60 years, or 15 election cycles, since the state voted for the Democratic nominee — Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
