Florida President Results: Trump Wins
Donald Trump has won the Florida contest, NBC News projects, and secured the state’s 30 Electoral College votes. In 2020, Trump won Florida with 51% of the vote to Joe Biden’s 48%. In 2016, Trump won Florida with 49% to Hillary Clinton’s 48%. Florida was once considered a swing state, but in recent elections it has trended toward Republicans and therefore is no longer hotly contested. Trump resides in Florida and the state’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, backed his campaign.
