Only a few days after the 20th anniversary of Windows 95, Microsoft announced that more than 75 million devices are now running Windows 10.
That number was shared by Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Windows and Devices Group, on Twitter.
When Windows 10 was released less than a month ago, Microsoft said its goal was to be on 1 billion devices in the "next few years."
The operating system brings Cortana, the digital assistant previously only available for Windows Phone, to laptops, desktops and tablets, and also features an Internet Explorer replacement called Edge.
Mehdi also shared a few other figures surrounding Windows 10's release. More than 90,000 unique devices have downloaded the operating system, he said, including some from as far back as 2007. Cortana has also been busy.
And what would a good corporate launch be without celebrities? Mehdi made sure to give a shout to Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
No, they didn't pull all-nighters programming Windows 10. Instead they participated in Microsoft's #UpgradeYourWorld campaign in which the company donated $10 million to various non-profit organizations. Cool, yes, but not as dope as Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry promoting Windows 95 one year after the debut of "Friends."
