There is pretty much an app for everything these days, including one for ordering pot and another for clacking away on a virtual typewriter. Chances are most people have not downloaded any of them. More than 65 percent of smartphone users download exactly zero apps per month, according to comScore's new mobile app report. Here is the complete breakdown, as visualized by comScore:

Aside from the maniacs downloading eight or more a month, most people have a pretty modest appetite for new apps. Yet 88 percent of smartphone users prefer using apps over their mobile browsers to consume media. This is all good news for Facebook, which leads the pack as the most used and widely downloaded app. Why it's good to be number one: people spend 42 percent of all of their smartphone time using their one favorite app.
