Relatives say a North Carolina man who was hit by a car and mistakenly declared dead has started talking again.

Larry Green was hit by a car in January as he walked home after buying beer at a grocery store. He was examined on the scene by paramedics and a medical examiner, declared dead and his body taken to a morgue.

More than two hours after the accident, the same medical examiner realized Green was still alive. He was hospitalized for two months after suffering a severe head injury, broken leg and other injuries.

He's been in a rehabilitation center for the last three months.

His father, Larry Alston, says Green has recently started forming words. Alston says his son isn't saying much, but it's music to his loved ones' ears.
