MSN's Moore to take role at Yahoo

MSN Network Experience general manager Scott Moore is leaving MSN to take a role at Yahoo’s media group.

Scott Moore, the general manager of MSN Programming, is leaving Microsoft's online service to take a role at Yahoo! Media Group.

Moore managed editorial, design and product development in his role at MSN. Moore's new position at Yahoo! will be as vice president of content operations in Santa Monica, Calif. Moore will report to Lloyd Braun, head of Yahoo! Media Group.

“We believe Scott has the right combination of media and Internet experience, leadership skills and business acumen to help realize the full potential of our media offerings,” Braun said.  “Scott joins a talented and creative team that has already built many of the leading media sites on the Web, and we look forward to his help in taking our business to the next level.”

Prior to Microsoft, Moore spent seven years in sales for Ivey Seright International, a Seattle-based business specializing in commercial photography, electronic imaging and screen-printing products.

Moore holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor of arts in visual and environmental studies from Harvard University.
