One of San Diego Mayor Bob Filner's accusers, Laura Fink, reacts to his resignation and his speech on Friday on Weekends with Alex Witt.

San Diego Mayor Bob Filner’s resignation Friday ended with a speech criticizing the media and the city council.

“You know, it reminds me exactly of the apology that when I documented the incident and requested an apology and that this not happen again, this is the almost exact apology that I received, after describing in my documentation how his behavior had humiliated me and how it was inappropriate,” said Laura Fink, one of 18 women who have accused Filner of sexual harassment. “He told me that he was sorry. He mumbled it, and then he proceeded to tell me that I just didn’t understand what had happened. “

Fink said on Weekends with Alex Witt Sunday she does not plan on filing her own lawsuit and is looking to move forward.

“My hope is that we trust the folks to do their jobs, complete their investigation, and we will move on from there.”
