Thousands of people lined up outside a popular department store that opened its doors for the first time in Houston Thursday.

H&M is located in Baybrook Mall in Friendswood.
H&M is well-known in Europe as an affordable family store with something for everyone.
"You have clothes that are for all the people that have a budget -- a small budget, a big budget," shopper Dorian Deri said. "In Israel, even the famous people go to H&M."
To celebrate its grand opening H&M will offered the first 500 shoppers in line prizes and gifts, including T-shirts and Fashion Passes gift cards.
There were more than 2,000 people in line when the store opened. Many of them camped out overnight.
The store's hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
The store, known for its trendy and affordable merchandise, is also part of the hit NBC series, Fashion Star.
