Visiting hours were open for a deer who wanted to take a look around a new hospital Wednesday morning.
It happened at Cascade Medical Center when the deer walked through the automatic doors of the emergency room.
“It walked down the hall and into our patient dining room,” said hospital Facilities Director Greg Horton. “So we closed the door to that room for a brief time while we closed all corridor doors so it could not wander around too much.”
When the door to the dining room was opened again, the deer left on its own with a little coaxing from hospital staff.
