LDK reaches deal with Suqian City on project

Solar wafer maker LDK Solar Co. said Monday that it reached a deal with Suqian City on photovoltaic power project development.

Solar wafer maker LDK Solar Co. said Monday that it reached a deal with Suqian City on photovoltaic power project development.

As part of the deal, China-based LDK will develop photovoltaic power projects in buildings, plants and integration systems, totaling up to 300 megawatts by 2015.

Financial terms, design and locations for each of the projects will be determined by a feasibility study and require final approval from the appropriate government departments.

Suqian City is located in the Jiangsu Province, China.

Shares of LDK Solar fell 31 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $8.93 in afternoon trading. Over the past year, the stock has traded in a range of $3.75 to $52.40.
