Friends, Family Say Goodbye To Fallen Garfield Hts. Marine

There was a final goodbye Saturday for a local marine who lost his life in Afghanistan.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Master Sgt. Adam Benjamin in Garfield Heights. Dozens of people lined Turney Road carrying flags and homemade signs.

The 34-year-old served multiple tours and was an explosives expert. On Aug. 18, he was killed in action in the Helmand Province.

Benjamin graduated from Garfield Heights High School in 1993.

He is to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
