Arson charges have been dropped against the wife of a Texas Supreme Court justice in a fire that destroyed their home in a Houston suburb.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office dismissed felony arson and felony criminal mischief charges against Francisca Medina, the wife of Justice David Medina.
Thursday's dismissal came after experts couldn't rule out the possibility that an electrical problem caused the $1 million fire in Spring.
Medina's attorney, Dick DeGuerin, tells the Houston Chronicle that two witnesses said there was no way it was arson.
Both the judge and his wife initially were indicted. Those indictment was thrown out, but another grand jury indicted Francisca Medina.
