Road work on one of the busiest stretches of interstate in Nashville could slow drivers down this weekend.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is continuing work on a major repair project on Interstate 440. The eastbound lanes will be closed from the I-40 junction all the way to I-65.

The work begins at 8 p.m Friday and ends at 5 a.m. on Monday.

It's one of four improvement projects planned for I-440 in the coming months.
