Two men are still on the run after an attempted robbery at the Bruegger's Bagels store Downtown on Wednesday, police said. The men approached the store, located on Fourth Street, at 6 p.m. and were told it was closing time, said police.
Police said the men -- one armed with a gun and one with a knife -- burst through the doors demanding cash.
One employee said she went to the room where the safe was kept. But she said that as she was heading to the room, one of the suspects grabbed her around the waist.
Police said she bit one of the men's wrists and kicked one in the groin while the other employee ran out the door.
The men then ran from the store, police said.
One of the employees was taken to the hospital, but the employee's condition has not been released.
Police said they are reviewing surveillance video and continue to investigate.
