Springfield Police Arrest Six People in a Drug Sting

SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) The six suspects, all from the greater Springfield area, were arrested Thursday evening.

SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) The six suspects, all from the greater Springfield area, were arrested Thursday evening. Officer Marcia Brown told 22News police raided "Sosa's Mini Market" and "Martina's Fashion" both located at Main Street in Springfield.

Police confiscated large amount of drugs, which included methadone, percocet, and oxycotin.

Close to $99,000 dollars in cash was also seized.

All six suspects are charged with drug trafficking and possession of ammunition without an I.D.

Both of those businesses raided by police are located within 1,000 feet of the Lincoln Magnet School.
