Bud Light debuted a trans-inclusive television ad on Monday featuring transgender actor Ian Harvie and movie stars Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen.

“Gender identity, it’s really a spectrum, and we don’t need these labels!,” Schumer shouts in the 30-second spot.

"If we're not at the table, then we're on the menu," Harvie told NBC OUT via email. "So I'm honored, as an out proud trans person, to be included in such a huge project as Bud Light's new and inclusive ad campaign."

In June, Bud Light debuted a same-sex wedding ad designed to support marriage equality. In that ad, Schumer and Rogen give a toast to the grooms, and Rogen says "Bud Light proudly supports everyone's right to marry whoever they want."

“From the start of our campaign at Super Bowl, The Bud Light Party has rallied around bringing people together,” Alex Lambrecht, vice president of Bud Light, said in a statement. “In our newest spot, Seth and Amy remind Americans that labels belong on beer, not people—a message Bud Light proudly supports.”

LGBTQ rights organization GLAAD applauded the company’s move.

“When a brand like Bud Light shows support for the transgender community, it makes a difference,” Nick Adams, GLAAD’s Director of Transgender Media, stated. “Not only does it help bring more visibility to the trans community, it also inspires other companies to do more to show their support.”
