Andrea Canning reports on the August 2011 killing of Katelyn Markham.

It was August 2011. The weekend of the annual Sacred Heart Festival in Fairfield, Ohio.

The festival was right up the street from Katelyn Markham’s townhouse.

So when Katelyn was nowhere to be found on Sunday, her fiancé called 911.

He told the operator he was concerned, what with the questionable people who might have been at the fair.

Fairfield police arrived at Katelyn’s townhouse and found no signs of forced entry or a struggle.

Family and friends joined the search for the charismatic young art student.

It would take nearly two years to find Katelyn’s remains, and more than a decade to catch her killer.
