Blayne Alexander reports on the 2022 disappearance of Jay Lee in Oxford, Mississippi.

It was odd. 20-year-old Jay Lee always called his mother, Stephanie, on her birthday to sing to her.

But on July 8, 2022, that call never came.

As a mom, Stephanie knew immediately something was wrong. She went to check her son’s location, but she couldn’t see it anymore.

The Lee family reached out to Jay’s friends. They hadn’t seen Jay, and their calls and texts weren’t going through either.

One friend went to Jay’s apartment in Oxford, Mississippi. No one answered, but he heard Jay’s dog, Lexi, inside. That was strange — Jay never left Lexi alone for long.

Jay’s family decided to request a welfare check. Officers went to his apartment. The door was slightly open. They knocked, but again, there was no answer. And when the officers went inside, no one was there….

The mystery of what happened to Jay Lee would haunt an entire community. Would they get justice for Jay? To find out, watch the full episode “Bringing Jay Home,” which is available on Peacock now.
